FIELD TRIP PROCEDURES

Reminder: Oversight of field trips has transitioned from Patty Montagna to DAWN REICH

  • Check Matt Sanger's Garden Spot Outlook calendar to verify that your potential field trip is the ONLY field trip scheduled for that particular date - we are limiting field trips to ONE PER DAY.

    • If you do not believe you currently have access, please reach out to Matt so that he can share access.

    • If the day is FREE on Matt’s calendar, send Dawn and emailed request to reserve that date ahead of time so she can place the event on the calendar.

  • Complete the Field Trip Request Form.

    • This ONE updated form replaces the miscellaneous forms (i.e. substitute request form, transportation request form, etc.).

  • Complete the Field Trip Roster Form.

  • All forms MUST be submitted to Dawn DIGITALLY.

  • Upon approval, all forms will be emailed back to the requesting teacher, along with all student permission slips.

    • The teacher coordinating the field trip is responsible for printing (double-sided) and distributing to all students on the trip roster.

  • Trip invoices/billing must be sent to both Joanna and Dawn.

​Some key changes to note:

  • Only ONE field trip per day will be permitted; no field trips on Fridays

​

  • Field trip requests must be submitted AT LEAST 2 WEEKS prior to the date of the trip

​

  • Roster changes will NOT be permitted within 1 WEEK of the date of the trip

​

​

  • Transportation Updates:

    • Field trips cannot leave until 9:00 AM and must return to the campus by 2:00 PM

    • If you feel that your only option is to charter a coach bus, note that there is a LIMIT to 1 trip using coach buses per department per school year
